I don't expect it because he doesn't have a technique like Nalbandian. Also he doesn't have a powerful forehand like Gonzalez. He is not a talented player, his most powerful weapon is his sheer determination but according to me this isn't enough to defeat Federer. Personally I am expecting a beatdown in three sets in favour of Federer like today.

Fed is 7-0 against Ferrer. Never really troubled him. In fact only lost 1 set in 7 matches. That in Hamburg this year.

The bright spot for Ferrer would be in 2006 Basel that epic 2nd set tiebreaker and that he finally took a set in Hamburg.

Ferrer's luck won't be enough as he has used all of it to defeat some major opponents. Besides the match up is easy for Federer.

He would be the third player to beat No.3, No.2 and No.1 in the same tournament this year if he can pull it off.

If it was the other David, I would give that a strong possibility. Ferrer I think his nice run comes to an end tomorrow, but I would not mind a great 5 setter. Federer mentioned that he has practiced with Ferrer and could see how well he is playing.
