Im almost scared that he won't get the chance as nadal-djoker will be the favorite final by organizers. I see that now they will put nadal and fed in the same half knowing they get fedal semi and then the djoker-nadal 5 hour match.

In 2011, nole's best level ever, roger should have still won 2/3 of their slam matches. The question is do you think he he wins any of the remaining slam semis vs nole if he is even put into that half?

If they play in Wimbledon Federer might just destroy Djokovic in straight sets.

I am not very optimistic about his chances in other venues, but Djokovic might go into a slump like at the end of last season and then Federer will not be forgiving against him, furthermore Federer would win this Australian Open final against the subpar tired Djokovic.

I am hoping so.
And also hope that if he does do it, he wags his finger even more vigorously than last year ;)

Wimbledon shold be Roger favorit, he is still better grass-court player, USO should be close, both are great on fast outdoor HC- hope USO will be quicker than last year, but with this Nole-Rafa pls be both in final they will do it slower than last year...
At RG i don´t think Roger will win, last year he was playing and serving out of his mind, Novak was under pressure, didn´t played 4 days and so on, but at RG if they should met i think Nole will beat him.

It's easy to belittle Federer when you look at his match up with Nadal and see how little he can do against a Nadal that keeps losing against Djokovic so he mustn't be able to something about Djokovic too, right? But still, this Federer is the only guy to see match points against Djokovic 2.0 so far. In fact, 2 out of the 3 times they met since the birth of Djokovic 2.0, he was able to see match points and was able to convert it one time. To completely discount Federer's chances against Djokovic would be foolish.

If they meet in Roland Garros, I'd call 50/50. In Wimbledon 60/40 in favor of Federer. In US Open 60/40 in favor of Djokovic. This is the most interesting match up in the top 4 so far because it's the most unpredictable.

I dunno if slow wimbledon which is almost like a clay court in at the baseline when the semi's are played will benefit fed that much. If they met in week 1 or when grass was grass it would be obviously fed the favorite. Would like to see this match for sure. I like to think us open is still 50/50 i mean fed was 1 point away last two years but lets see. I feel RG 2012 with fed slowing down endurance wise will be the most difficult to win again vs the endurance djoker has now. Novak will be favored 70/30 djoker in my opinion plus he wants to win it this year for djoker but pressure might be way high this year and he may faulter but he'll want revenge for last years loss. Roger will be underdog and usually thrives in that roll. My luck fed will end up in rafa half although you'd think they'd want that rematch from 2011 so fed may be in noles half.

Doubt it. Djoker played pretty lousy in that match at the French Open. He is going to be going hard for RG this year since its the only slam he needs now. Wimbeldon, I doubt Fed even makes it that far since his grass game has been declining ever since 2007 and its been pretty bad these past 2-3 years. USO is probably Fed's big chance but thats no guarantees either since Djoker has beaten him there the last 2 years in a row.

Only players I see beating Djoker this year is Murray and to a lesser extent Nadal. Though I think both could get a slam win over Djoker in one of the next 3 slams

not a chance because he won't beat Nadal in the SF. Federer can beat Novak in a SF. Chances of playing a final are close to 0%

Tactically i think fed played nadal the first set an a half well. That's what he just needs to keep doing. Annacone im sure picked up that fed nearly won every point he approached on nadal's backhand. Besides, this surface was so slower than ever it has been to play on forget that they played on a very cool low 60s degree night. Fed did well at WTF in london because of the faster court and low bounce which he will get at wimbledon and us open provided they aren't slowed down anymore. I still think if they meet at wimbledon and us open the court will be much more rewarding to fed in terms of quick points and nadal's topspin being greatly reduced.

That being said fed will have more chances that doesn't mean nadal sitll won't win. It's just that many of those ridiculous shots nadal got back on that slow ass plexicushion would be outright winners on grass or us open hard court.

I wouldn't hold your breath until fed actually wins othewrsie nadal is the obvious favorite every time.

He'll probably get close at least once. He is one year older though. These things get harder as time goes by.

He won't upset him but he may cheat again along with organizers

H2H records since Novak 2.0 showed up:

Novak-Rafa 7-0
Rafa-Roger 4-1
Novak-Roger 4-1

Roger's chances against Rafa and Novak are not great at this point in time. The media narrative, not surprisingly, hypes Roger's chances against Novak more than numbers warrant.

Of course anything could happen, nothing's written in stone. But Federer upsetting Novak in a slam is a tad unlikely. I would love it if they met, though. They play very entertaining matches. :)
