I'm wondering after Shanghai what he'll playing the rest of 2025?? Will he play Paris and/or Turin at all is my other question?? What are your thoughts, where does Djokovic go from here??

Depends on his recovery. 6 kings is an exhibition with no required effort and Athens is a home tournament he always planned to play so I think he will at least show up to help to sell the tickets. Not many big names there apart from Tsitsipas who could lose early.

It's sad to see Djoky struggling physically so much recently
I think he'll just show up at Six Kings for a paycheck. In Athens, I expect a good tournament from him. After that, he finishes his season and starts preparations for AO

It's sad that Djoky never had a long-running home tournament like Rogie with Basel and Halle, and Rafa with Barcelona
Even when Rogie and Rafa were at their worst, they knew they could come back home and play in the most comfortable conditions

After watching the highlights I'd be amazed if he's still playing in 12 months.

Is it really worth it now? Body is regularly breaking down now in difficult conditions when he's won 3-4 games in a row.

Great at 38 he's still regularly reaching SFs but he has been a long way from 100% fit in pretty much every single one of them and the eventual results show that.

He will also want to retire on his terms rather than being forced out by injury so that also needs to be considered.

This tournament in the end was important for him to show up rankingswise as he least defended some points & basically guaranteed that even a horrible 1st week loss at the Australian Open will still have him in the Top 10 somewhat.

His schedule in 2026 should be:

Either play a 250 before the Australian Open or miss it & just play the slam.

Play an Indoor event or 2 in February.

Then try & defend his 650 points from Miami last year by either playing Miami or Indian Wells... If he plays Indian Wells and does ok... no need to play Miami.

Then screw the clay season up the a$%%.. To hell with that at his age.

He'll be defending Geneva & 800 points from the French so bypass the claycourt season & the French & then just scrounge around at interim events and pick up some form & points there.

Play a leadup grasscourt event & then play Wimbledon.

If he's soon realises that he's doing soooo badly that he won't even qualify for the 2026 ATP finals... call it quits at Wimbledon.

If not, play the US OPEN just for the hell of it and if he does qualify for the ATP finals it's the perfect place to say goodbye.

One thing sure as shit he's not playing 2027... Book it!

He'll probably play 2 matches there: lose the SF he's slotted into already, and then the 3rd/4th place match unless he withdraws from it!! Else win the SF, and then either win or lose the F, two matches therefore...
