I think we're seeing a Safin-esque stretch from Nalbandian. If it lasts into the early months of 2008 that would be quite impressive.
Not more than that. Historically, these stretches don't last too long. That doesn't necessarily mean that David will become overweight - it points more to his focus and the surprise factor of players simply not prepared to play him effectively. Eventually his mental level will drop (this is only natural) and other guys will adjust to him. Ultimately, David, being the inconsistent player that he is, will experience more lows. Hopefully a few more highs as well.
