Currently he's #32 in Live ATP rankings. If he's seeded he will be youngest player since Nadal to be seeded in a Slam.

Re: Will Borna Coric be seated for US Open?

Only if he played some challengers in the case of the first round exits.

Since there is a very small chance of him playing CH instead, I'd say it's 60% chance he won't be seeded.

Seated? I don't know that word. :p

Well, I'd like him to seat in a chair during the tournament, while more talented players play, but I don't think he will do that.

When the seeds are decided? Based on ranking of which date?

Don't edit the title. PLEASE.

Seriously, though, I think he could possibly be seeded. I hope so.

Where is he supposed to be "seated"? On the stadium while losing early in R1/2?

Funny typo :p

Well he's already out of Hamburg, and only has a 9 point lead on Bellucci. Bellucci, Paire and Sock can all surpass him this week with one more win each. If that all happens that bumps him down to 35 with only 9 points cushion over Klizan, who plays in Kitzbuhel next week while Coric is inactive.

Doesn't look too good right now.

Fognini and Querrey could be below him after deduction of Can/Cinci 2014, but since they play the next week too, they will probably gain some points and be well above him after Can/Cinci point deduction.

So, only a good result at Canada or Cinci can put him there.

Hopefully not. Would be one of the worst seeds ever. Then again, Mannarino is so...

Has a pretty good chance I would have thought - forecast has him at 29 (ie after everyone's masters points come out), and obviously does depend on getting a decent result at either Montreal and/or Cinny.

But made it into second round at the two hardcourt masters he has played this year, so no real reason he shouldn't at least hold his current position.

The rankings after Cincinnati.

I think he has a pretty fair shot at this.
