A true challenger GOAT

Everyone hates him, it's stupid. False allegations of match fixing, it's no good.

He's 111 in the world right now, 27 years old.

ASSUMING COVID doesnt ruin the tour (Which it will sadly) he's a lock for top 50 in the next 12 months.

Multi-surface player, bomb forehand.

Anyone who has watched him, got any further insight?

For sure. He quit match fixing and is focusing on his ranking now. Can be a solid 40-75 player for years.
His IG (@karatsev93) pretty much confirms he's ashamed of his match fixing past. His last tennis post was 4 years ago and he limits his comments to a few per post. I don't really see him being anything more than a solid Chall. player. Winning 2 of them and losing in the final to Stan was nice & all( + thrashing Lord Gulbis 4 times this year in straights) but look at his ATP results thereafter.
Smoked by Korda in FO Q.,then lost to Khach, Seppi & Demon with only decent W against Sandgren. He's not exactly young either (1 day younger than Thiem). Seriously doubt he emerges from Chall. to have a Fucsovics/Krajinovic type career.

There is a big difference between three south american proven match fixers and an Ossetian tennis hero.

I think he'll get to top 100- pretty sure COVID ranking is the only reason he isn't already. He's got an amazing return, shades of Davydenko on some of them.
