I wasnt sure of where to put this question, so I created this new thread...
Why is this forum called Oi Oi Oi? Im curious since the first time I saw it. But I felt like if I was asking it would sound stupid. LOL

Someone enlight me please!

It is their cheer silly bear

"Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi"

That is what they yell when cheering for Aussie players

I can't tell you why though.

Ok, I got half an answer. I still keep on asking... why? Just a chant?

Yeah, it's just a chant. It doesn't have any significance...not to my knowledge anyway

***OI***As an Aussie myself the chant is a sacred part of patriotism among very large sporting events....the oi,oi,oi is just a slang term oftenly used by us aussies.... cant directly tell u why but i think it originated amongst cricketers
