A birth is gruesome. If more men were honest, they would admit they would prefer to be in the waiting room.

The man is helpless during the birth and usually out of his depth while the women suffers. I would prefer my partner had proper support from her friend/mother who could relate to her discomfort.

Attending the birth is not important, it's what you do afterwards.

Every man would be impatient to hold his first child for the first time, but would rather be far away from the delivery room.

Haven't witnessed the birth of my kids and i'm very ok with it.

I can also still appreciate my wife's vagina, which might not be the case if i'm around during the delivery.

Sounds gross, but it's a common psychological problem too.

If my woman, my wife is giving birth to our child there is no way in hell I am going to just sit in the waiting room and twiddle my thumbs, fuck that. Who says the man is helpless? The amount of emotional and psychological support the man provides is invaluable.

I am going to be right in there with her
