Fed's career was richer, bolder, greater, more dramatic, more epic, more inspiring, more unique.

OTOH, Djokovic broke the main records with his soulless, defensive game, even if he bored crowds everywhere.

Depends what you value.

I value talent, athleticism and career achievements, so Djokovic wins for me.

There was no much drama in losing to Nadal and destroying the field outside the clay, until the emergence of No1e.

I’d gladly take either one and have no regrets.

i’d settle for Victor Hanescu’s career

Djokovic as an unbiased tennis fan. This thread is not about regrets but there were matches in Wimbledon that Federer should and could have won to consolidate his position as GOAT. Defeats in Wimbledon to Anderson, Raonic, Tsonga and Djokovic (2019) cost him dearly.

Federer for me. He brought joy to millions of fans worldwide and moved the casual viewer to get more interested in the sport.

Djokovic has benefited from winning 10 slams in his 30s. Which is more a quirk of luck than anything as no one decent was born in the two generations that followed him. Not his fault but his numbers are elevated because of it.

Only a hater would call Djokovic's game boring. Though I'm not a big fan of Djokovic, he has provided some nail-baiting action so far. His encounters with Nadal have always been more than entertaining. Not to forget match point 15-40 comebacks in US Open and Wimbledon

At this moment Novak's career is greater and more impressive but guess what?

Whilst Roger's career is over Novak's is still in progress. You can argue that Novak's career is in the twilight phase and you'd be right but it ain't over till it's over, and it ain't over :)

Novak's got at least a couple more Slams in him (WB and AO) and I'm think RG this year as well.

What's Roger got in the pipeline? :rotfl:

You don’t value talent then

Pencilhead had the stats right now but almost half of his achievements came from this shitty nextgen era. Federer is the better player.

Djokovic's is undoubtedly better, but Federer could've kept it closer if he weren't such a choker.

Career wise the numbers back Nole, but claiming that Gumby’s peak was more talented immediately strikes your opinion from every fact-based argument

Plus Fed’s 5x USO keeps looking better and better as time goes on

Feds 5 Us Open streak and also the Semifinals streak is a feat which will not be equaled anytime soon.

Losers whine about luck - winners go home and sleep with the trophies.
