Hewitt of course has a great chance, but lot's of pressure especially with Men's final falling on Australia Day. Agassi knows that time is running out & keen to make amends for USO final loss to his nemisis. Safin can definitely do it- in fact I would make him favourite, based on recent Davis Cup performance & he made final last year. Honestly those 3 guys clearly look like the ones to beat. Otherwise Moya might surprise(former finalist at AO) or Srichaphan may breakthrough in the biggest way possible.
I can't make up my mind but I reckon Hewitt has the guts to take the glory & Safin has more fire in the belly than we credit him for.

I hope this is the year that the really good players, establish themselves in the big stage as the money players! I don't like to see what happened to AO, RG and Wimbledon in 2002 happen in 2003. I would actually want to see final matches that would not lull me to sleep either because one of the players choked, or the moment just became to big for him or WTF am I doing here look!

So please, somebody who is a somebody win the AO please!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hewitt's chance is pretty good, given his current form at Hopman Cup, but I don't want him to win :)
Agassi will be full of determination as this might be his last year, but determination alone is not enough and I don't want him to win either :)
I don't mind Carlos or Paradorn to win but not this year, maybe next time.
I hope Marat can make it this time as he's got everything to make it possible. Go Marat!

Someone remind me the last time that Andre lost a match there?

1999? He won 2000 and 2001 and then didn't play in 2002, so that's right.

Given his record there, I'll say that Andre has as good a shot as anybody. He also has the extra incentive that Pete isn't going to be there ;) ;)

I voted for Roger.
I wanted to pick Guga, but his record in the Aussie is terrible. No jinx wanted. lol

Marat can win it too, sure. And Andre is a no-brainer. Those three are my top contendors right now.
