Congrats to both sides and we will have a new Davis Cup winner irrespective of who wins.

Both of the nations deserve to be there and who will win the final.

I am soooooo for Croatia!!!!!!! AJMO HRVATSKA!!!!!!!!!!!! :bigclap: :yippee: :bounce:
I guess Croatia will be my fav now  Where will this Final be played?
This is an awesome final.. exciting for both countries. I'm pretty torn as to who will win. I like both teams. I think I'm going to tip the edge to Slovakia. I think Beck could take out Ancic in a singles match, especially since the tie would be in Slovakia. So unless Ljubicic wins all three again for the third time in a row, I think it's Slovakia's.

I'll be interested to see the court selection. Both teams play well on the same surfaces, so it's not like they can really pick a surface that hinders their opponents too greatly.

I hear it will be in Slovakia :)
I want Slovakia to win, for Experimentee  and also as I like Dom.

But I wonder if Goran's presence will ignite the Croatians to win?
congrats to both teams! :yeah: they've had impressive wins on the way to the final, and I guess one thing sure in the final is it will be played on very fast courts.

I think the winner will be the host nation (which will be decided by draw I hear?).
Good luck to both teams!

They have never played before and the DC organisers didn't expect this final, so this will make things interesting.

If the Croatians pick the surface they could easily pick clay, because of Beck's weakness on that surface.
Well, as I heard it will be played in Slovakia - Bratislava?

LJUUUU-BO LJUU-BO!!!!!!!!!!!! :bigclap: :bounce: :yippee:

I'm pretty sure it will be in Slovakia.

And everyone knows who I voted for
None of them had an easy road to the final (euphemism) so all credit to them. I guess that Slovakia advantage to receive (did they travel once this year?) and choose the surface will be less a factor (apart from the crowd factor) because Croatia prefer fast surface as well (what wasn't the case for Spain and Argentina)

I say Croatia. But Slovakia have never been the favourite in most of their encounter this year, and they seem to relish it.
My head says Croatia but my gut says Slovakia.

Is Ljubicic really much better (real question)? Ljubicic has been the man for Croatia this year, they should try and find a surface which suits him I think.
ivan will win the DC final
Go Slovakia! You deserve it! :worship:
RDucky wishes to point out that Ljubicic is 5-0 v Hrbaty, and 2-1 v Beck, and that if Czechoslovakia wants to stand any chance of winning, they must opt to play the final on clay.

we deserve it more
if we win, we will have 2 tough road wins in way to trophy
in the same time slovakia has played all at home
that is just not the same
we must win this match, and we will win it ;)
the h2h turns out to be not so important in DC, at this level...
and those who are overconfident seem to have it bitter in the end, so I guess noone will underestimate noone in the final.

Czechoslovakia hasn't existed since 1993.
