This year Federer has won all the traditionally weaker Masters Series events like Hamburg and Cincinnati, so he can win Paris too. :D
Why is Bercy weak this year?

Well, I don't know if you've seen the Paris entry list, but it's definitely NOT a weak field this year - and even more, all players in good form/good on HC are on Fed's side of the draw, so I surely wouldn't consider a Fed victory as a given!

should be karlovic or nalbandian
It would be a sad day for tennis if Ivo the serving machine Karlovic wins Paris, which I personally think will not happen. The day a player wins a major title (beating the best player this era has to offer) by only being able to serve well will be the day I stop watching tennis and start watching something more exciting like darts.

Well, with Raf's rather friendly draw, I would most definitely not count him out as a candidate for the Paris title, even more so as it seems the surface has been slowed down for quite a bit. It's merely a matter of staying healthy, if he does, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him go very far here.
