After the thread on Safin's qualification, here's what I think the line up will be for the Master's Cup. Who does every else think will qualify? I haven't changed the line up much from the current world ranking, although there is still a lot of points towards the end of the season. They are relatively cheap points in comparison to the mid-season ones from the remaining TMS left.

It's hard to chose between Davydenko and Nalbandian as the final player to qualify, a lot depends on what happens as I can see both of them turning in good results towards the end of the year. Richie Gasquet is not far from the top ten, and if he gets on a roll then he can qualify, although I'm not quite sure if he's ready just yet mentally.

1 Federer, Roger (SUI )
2 Nadal, Rafael (ESP )
3 Hewitt, Lleyton (AUS
4 Roddick, Andy (USA )
5 Agassi, Andre (USA )
6 Coria, Guillermo (ARG )
7 Davydenko, Nikolay (RUS)
8 Safin, Marat (RUS )
(ALT) David Nalbandian (ARG)

I'm banking on Roger taking his third title in a row here, and a probable final appearance from Awesome Andre.

I think if he qualifies, then Andre will make an appearance. I don't think he will break his back to get there though, and him playing in any tournaments is so unlikley that it isn't going to happen.

I'd like to see both David and Nikolay jump over Coria to qualify. But, if I had to predict... I think both Argentines will make it over the Russian whose results have been far less impressive this summer. Maybe the indoor season will wake him up, though.

I think that the tournaments in which Coria picked up points last year has caused his ranking to be a lot lower than his ability deserved for most of the clay court grind. Coria has had a decent season so far, and if he qualifies I don't think that we will see a repeat of what happened when the injured weasel got mashed up at the Masters Cup.

I agree with you about Nikolay Davydenko though, I have a feeling he will end up as ALT. I'm also pretty sure Nalbandian will be a force to be reckoned with this autumn, even though at #14 in the race he has got a lot of catching up to do.

I think if Andre qualifies, he'll play because he will prove to everybody that he is still willing to continue his tennis career.

Davydenko reached a GS quarter and a semi, and won a title so he does deserve consideration, but I think Gonzalez for winning HC and clay titles and also at Wimbledon he had an outstanding run, and I'd like him to get there.

Clay is gone now, and so are optionals, so Gaudio has no chance.
