We all know of those infamous moments in the heat of competition when players' faces contort in all kinds of weird ways during rallies, through the stress of the situation or the physical demands of the match.

What notable expressions have surfaced (and remember pictoral evidence is vital here) for us to pour scorn on?

Yikes, at that first pic of marat

Rusedski does have an awful hitting face. He somehow manages to contort his face in such a way that makes him look as if hes just gotten a whiff of rotting trash (or his upper lip ).

Phillipoussis does this bizarre slack-jawed movement when he hits the ball. Ill try and find a pic later.

It's true that Rusedski has that irritating puffing-out-cheeks motion, but then so does Enqvist as my Aus Open pic shows - I think Roddick puffs out his cheeks when he serves.

Guga can look pretty amusing during his more flamboyant moments, though, especially when in full groaning mode.

As far as I can tell, Federer is the only player who doesn't contort his face at all but simply offers a languid tongue to the ball, as witnessed below:
