Anyone who's been to Wimbledon has seen the Fred Perry statue. Does Andy Murray OBE deserve a statue over Roger Federer at SW19?

If Scotland declares independence next year does he still get one?

If anyone does for recent achievements then its Federer, but neither should have one alongside Fred Perry IMO.

If Murray gets one...

Federer and Sampras with their arms over one another, standing and laughing with their racquets in their hands.

This thread shouldn't exist. If Murray gets a statue it will be a joke, and I will kick it if one ever gets made (and will probably stub my toe in the process).

A Sampras and Federer statue would be nice though.

A statue for Andy maybe in 100 years or so, simply for not murdering one of the many obnoxious british journalists that have pestered him for the last 10 years.

As for Fed, well if he wins that one maybe, otherwise you might as well make one for Sampras

When Murray retires and no British player is getting past the 3rd round of Wimbledon for a decade, that statue is going to pop up, Sir Andy Murray statue

Some poor young Brit will be getting tormented every year, it's been xxxx years since Murray won Wimbledon!

Rogie deserves one if he wins Wimbledon this year for sure (9 finals and 8 titles). Even if he doesn't, he and Sampras each won 7, but Rogie still made more finals than Sampras, but they'd both deserve to have a statue. Rogie is The King Of Grass and I'll never ever forget his record 65 consecutive wins on grass from 2003-2008 when it was broken by Rafa.
