So, as many of you might already see, the calendar due to Olympic Games in happy, tolerant and peaceful state of China, looks like this:

21.04 Monte Carlo
28.04 Barcelona
05.05 Rome
12.05 Hamburg

Rafa is supposed to play it all the way : http://www.rafaelnadal.com/en/calendar-07.htm. He has to defend victories and Hamburg final
Will he play this full schedule or not? Discuss

I dont see a reason why he wouldn't stick to his schedule. It's a bit busy, I know, but he can handle it winning most of the matches in straight sets. :)
Maybe he could skip that cold, wet Hamburg...on 11.5. he wins Rome and then has a two weeks off repairing for RG.

Playing on clay isn't such destructible for your knees as playing on hard for sure. But, playing for a whole month, in the heat, without any break may result in a bit of an exhaustion in RG, even though there's a week left before the Slam. Besides, competition is more serious this year, with Djokovic jumping across next hurdles, Murray always dangerous, Ferrer at his peak, Davydenko being able to drag him into another long one, Nalbandian giving a shit about tennis once more, and there's also Federer

If Nadal wins all these things and then RG, I'll owe him awe

As long as he feels healthy and not-too-tired I don't see him skipping any of them. He knows pretty well what's on stake, and he's done it before. ;)

The Knee Tendonitis has been old news for quite some time, Rafa himself has said that it doesn't particularly bother him anymore. If that's indeed the truth, we'll just have to wait and see. In any case, clay is a lot more friendly on the body than any other surface.

Hope I'm right about this.

I would say Barcelona. Is hard to play four weeks in a row, especially on clay.

You know, it's up to how fit he feels I suppose, but I mean he played it last year, so he might again right?

Personally if he goes deep into following tournaments:

21.04 Monte Carlo
28.04 Barcelona
05.05 Rome

... then perharps, resting 2 weeks would do him good (defending points is not all that important then just for Hamburg...).

It all depends on the player really, but big players can usually go about it that way, I'd look at the RG draw first though ... ;)

Considering his results on hard court this year, he´ll probably try to make the best of the clay season. I see no reason why he woudn´t play all of them.

Depends on Rome's final:

a) Rome final: more than 5 hours against Coria --> No Hamburg.
b) Rome final: more than 5 hours against Fed --> No Hamburg.
c) Rome final: a 6/2 6/2 victory against Gonzo --> Hamburg yes.

I expect him to win Rome easily so he won't skip any tournament. :p

I voted for none, but Hamburg AMS is the one that probably he would skip if he was tired...because in '05 and '06 he skipped from going to cold Hamburg.

If any, I agree that Hamburg is the most likely one he'll skip.
It's not just that he already did so in 2005 and 2006 - I think the main reason why he didn't do the same in 2007 is because of this action both Roger and Rafa initialized to preserve Hamburg's AMS-status. He was obviously not 100% in that final...
