Is there going to be major upsets in the 1st round in AO and who might pull and upset from the players ranked from 64-128 and qualifiers and who will be upset ? Do players like Ancic, Corolev, Benneteau, Cilic and others have a pretty decent shot on Robredo or someone else from TOP TEN ?

Should Ancic get back to form again, he will be in the TOP TEN... he is a dangerous player. :worship:

He is indeed and looks like he is in a great shape after illness and injuries. His record against current top ten:

Federer 4:1
Nadal 2:1
Djokovic 2:1
Davydenko 3:2
Roddick 5:0
Ferrer 1:0
Gonzalez 2:2
Gasquet 1:1
Nalbandian 4:0
Robredo 1:2

Except Rodick, Ferrer and Nalbandian he has beaten at least once every one of them. He might do it again.

Lots of voters on Gonzo. If he looses in 1st round he will loose 695 points and he will fall in 26th place in rankings:smash:

If Robredo encounters Ernests Gulbis he will lose again !
Robredo can not meet with Gulbis in 1st round cause Gulbis is 52 in the rankings. Gulbis will also get a player from 65-128 or qualifier in the first round.

Why are you confused ? Because of the format of the draw 2 on X gradation which means 1-2-4-8-16-32-64-128 all the players ranked 1to 64 are getting lower ranked players than 64 in 1st round of slams. Therefore Robredo (10) can not play with Gulbis (52) in the first round.

You are wrong.

Robredo (currently #10) could possibly draw Wawrinka (currently #36) in the first round.

Bad luck for Robredo then. ;)

In other words, seedings are only for the 32 highest ranked players. All the rest are in the same sack...

Actually you are right, I forgot that in draw of 128 there are 32 seeds.
