A question I never thought would be worthy of GM, but the day has come.

I mean, is this even a question? Laver Cup is an obvious answer. Better format, more players, more matches, more drama. Six Kings Slam is overrated af, and overprized as well.

Laver Cup is anything but boring. It is known for its striking aesthetic, lively atmosphere, and profanity-laced sit down exchanges. You want to know what the players really think of the game? Watch them advise each other during Laver Cup. It's fascinating. You could see the respect for Ben Shelton increase in real time on both teams. It's a shame he's injured this year.

Couldnt care less but have a suggestion here...

I used to never miss NBA All-Star Weekend for years and think tennis is really missing a big oppourtunity with these exhos. I propose Laver Cup be redone into a tennis all-star throwdown. Men and women. Singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and whatever weird events you can come up with. Fastest serve competition. Oldies match. Shit like that. Invite all the greats to join in and celebrate. Wtf. Cant do any worse than whats on now and btw I cant even watch 6 Kings because I wont pay for Netflix! End rant

Love team tennis. United Cup, Davis Cup, & Laver Cup. Even BJKC, at times.

The pressure of playing for team / country is a different kind of intangible stakes. A more overt form of soft power. A person's ability to rise and represent matters. In general and in terms of the HoF. They look at that metric when voting.

Team tennis requires mental toughness & clutch play. As such, it often shows who is truly in form, who isn't, & who can find it when they need it most. Team tennis also serves as a harbinger for younger, emerging stars finding a new level of form.

Williams sisters gold medals aside, the Olympics, for me, are more about watching all the other truly niche sports I don't typically see. I still don't know where to watch fencing, speed climbing, or water polo. Apparently, volleyball has a subscription platform like tennis, but the price was more than TC, so I passed.

2024 Paris Olympics were great! Thanks to the women, USA did very well, so there was a lot for me to watch. As for tennis, Shelton wasn't playing and it was on clay which is a very rare OG occurrence, so I barely watched.

With @OilTrader this was expected.
Maybe Novak will share his appearance fee with @talicnitom.
But why in the hell does @Johnny Groove support it? Is it because he counts six kings slam with pro slams?
It does give pro slam vibes for sure haha

6 Kings Slam is great because they really go into it from a marketing perspective firstly

That hype video last year was off the charts

Then, the level I thought was very high last year due to the massive amount of prize money on the line

I know they are all millionaires but still. If you watch those matches, especially Sinner-Djoker and Sinner-Alcaraz, the game was very good

I guess being a Dumpublican you're attracted to big hype events with pompous names in a similar way to how Trump hypes himself and hia actions.
Life is about sales and marketing
