The players in the list were chosen because they reached multiple Wimbledon SF or better and were/are generally considered weak or weaker on clay. I think some of them were/are actually underrated on clay because of their better results on other surfaces. The question is: Which of the following players who have excelled on grass was/is the best or most talented on clay?

The list of players:

Pete Sampras
Clay Selected Highlights: RG (SF + QFx3), Rome (W + SF), Hamburg SF, 3 clay titles

Richard Krajicek
Clay Selected Highlights: RG (SF + QF), Monte Carlo SF, Rome F, 1 clay title

Goran Ivanisevic
Clay Selected Highlights: RG QF (x3), Monte Carlo SF, Rome (F + SFx3), Hamburg F, 3 clay titles

Tim Henman
Clay Selected Highlights: RG SF, Monte Carlo SF

Patrick Rafter
Clay Selected Highlights: RG SF, Rome F

Lleyton Hewitt (still active)
Clay Selected Highlights: RG QF (x2), Rome SF, Hamburg SF (x3), 2 clay titles

Andy Roddick
Clay Selected Highlights: Rome SF (x2), 5 clay titles

Sebastien Grosjean
Clay Selected Highlights: RG (SF + QF), Monte Carlo SF (x2)

Andy Murray (still active)
Clay Selected Highlights: RG (SF + QFx2), Monte Carlo SF (x2), Rome SF

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (still active)
Clay Selected Highlights: RG (SF+QF), Monte Carlo SF

I have just included some of their selected clay results. You may take into account factors other tournament results, such as results in any single match or Davis Cup results, as well as your subjective view on their talent / comfort level on clay.

Sampras. In '92 to '94 he made 3 consecutive RG quarter-finals, and a QF, SF and W in Rome. He also made the SF in Hamburg in '95, and Roland Garros semis in '96.

And note that, on the occasions he went deep at RG, these were the players he lost to: 1992 QF (l. to Agassi), 1993 QF (l. to Bruguera), 1994 QF (l. to Courier), 1996 SF (l. to Kafelnikov). Every single one of them was a Roland Garros Champion.
