Tampa, Florida - Three people were found dead inside a large, million-dollar Tampa home that went up in flames Wednesday morning.

Our search of property records confirm former tennis player James Blake owns the 5,856 square-foot mansion at 16223 Sierra de Avila, inside the exclusive Avila Golf and Country Club.

We were able to reach a contact with the James Blake Foundation, who tells 10 News that Blake was not inside the house when the fire broke out.

As for Blake, the neighbor says he hasn't lived in the home in at least a year. The new occupants had been living in the house for a little more than a year.

The neighbor says the renters were quiet people who kept to themselves.

Officials confirmed they have received reports of gunshots, but cautioned that it could be from rounds going off in the fire.

Sad story... bad things happen when you get married and wife forces you to rent out the home you love to sleep on the couch. Seriously though... sad to see people die and I am sure Blake will be fine.

I just got to know by Bleacher report, sad to hear this. Hope Blake will be fine
It happens every day.... just because it's Blake, it does not make it more tragic. At least, he has the wherewithal to afford more homes unlike some folks who are completely ruined after an accident like this.

this was no accident if they found fireworks around the heads of the victims. sounds like a mob related or drug related killing. hope James had good homeowner's insurance.

TV reporter Meredyth Censullo tweeted that the victims had 'gunshot wounds to the head' as well as fireworks strapped to them

She also tweeted that there may be a fourth victim and that several gas cans were discovered upstairs

Tio Toni repercussions for beating Nadal three times in a row.
Botched job by Tony, turns out that USO loss in 2005 hurt more than we thought :tape:
How funny you guys are, making jokes about how Toni blew up a house and killed at least three people and stuff.

Anyway, is there any source to the fireworks and gun shots thing other than Daily Fail?

Well, that's bad now.... poor judgment by Blake to not do background research on people who rented his house to

Florida television reporter Meredyth Censullo, formerly of ABC, reported additional details.

The cause of death was not revealed by the Sherrifs Department, though information given to Meredyth Censullo indicates the deaths were caused by gunshots to the head, not the fire itself. Censullo is also reporting that heavy-duty fireworks were wrapped around the heads of the deceased and that additional fireworks were rigged in such a manner as to prevent firefighters from entering the building due to concerns about unpredictable explosions.

Blake bought the home in the Tampa Bay-area in 2005 for $1.5 million, according to Hillsborough County property records. It had five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Video of the fire showed it totally engulfed in flames.

Wow, gunshot wounds and fireworks strapped to their heads. And with teenage children too... Mafia members deserve to be gassed.
