Marat Safin- Backhand
Albert Costa- Serve (i actually have the same service motion as his... Might explain it)
David Nalbandian- Nothing. I never think of him :p

Those are just the top ten.

I didn't ask what is each player's best shot, i asked which shot comes to mind when you think of a certain player. There is a difference.

Goran & Mario: serve
After his match with Ferrero in Australia, all I can think of when it comes to Mario is that terrible second serve percentage.

If memory serves he only managed to win 8% - 2 for 25 - of his second serve points.

8%?!

Does that set a new precedent for awful? ;)

I'm aware that he is not usually that terrible, and was just having either an off day, or an overwhelmed day. But that doesn't remove that number from my head. ACK!

Some less complementary trademark shots:

Alex Corretja - wildly topspun mishits that soar out of court, forehand and backhand, usually accompanied by an amusing "Noooo!" from the man himself.

Nicolas Lapentti - further wildly mishit shots, but this time out of nervousness and indecision, that zip off the frame and into the sky (am thinking of the mishit gift he gave Agassi on match point in Miami last year)

Roger Federer - sadly, an often-shanked topspin backhand that he often loops in far too short or else frames: in his quarterfinal against Hewitt in TMS Paris, practically every backhand he hit sounded odd off the racquet, and it was rather appropriate that he ended the match by dumping one limply in the net.

Quite funny you should say that, considering the prominent billboard of him advertising that exact same product on a wall in Melbourne during the AO last week. People seem to be offering him rolls of the stuff while he stands there with a stupified grin on his face.

On Eurosport, the highlights programme showed Roddick being taught how to drive a Melbourne tram, and strangely enough avoiding running over anyone on the way, and then gave him what must be his one and only chance to mock Hewitt: he stood in front of the wall with his fellow passengers, presumably Aussies, and commented drily: "That's a lot of toilet paper."

"Pyjama shorts"? - I think you'll find these loose-hanging garments simply emphasise the firm, athletic muscular frame of the Sjengster, making him a figure of lust for yet more screaming teen groupies as they swoon when he says hello.

Agree about the rosy-cheeked Novak, though - ruddy (faced) Jiri always looks like he should be hosting a medieval banquet, he certainly has the stature and nobility to pull it off.
