What age?

18? 21? Older? Younger?

Where I come from law says 18, conventional wisdom seems to suggest 21. 16 is age of consent, 18 for smoking and drinking, 18 as an adult, 20 to enter casinos, 18 to gamble on sports.

For me, It just seems to be either your an adult at X age, and anything less is a child. I dont like that.

Could a case be made for girls being an adult at a different age than males? Conventional wisdom does suggest women of the same age tend to be a couple to three years more mature than males of their same age. Hence women more often than not date older men.

What does your society suggest, what do you think?

Is it just the age you can fight for your country, age you can vote, or do you think its far more multi layered than this?

Yup, when you start living alone, paying your bills, taking care of your food and everything else, then you can be adult. Doesn't matter if someone is 45 yrs old, if his/her parents are still taking care of everything
