TDK was great because the great script and Heath's great acting. He didn't look like a tryhard with cheesy lines. Many lines are memorable. The other actors were good as well.
I agree. I have tremendous respect for method actors as well.

Dare Mo Shiranai and Inland Empire, greats of realism and surrealism, respectively.
Inland Empire must be watched at least two times in a short period, watched it last Friday and again today, first watch was a mindblow yet difficult to get most of it, second watch was really worth it, still stuff I didn't get but I loved this movie overall, a rare 5 stars.

Used to watch tons of films. Now it's very rare that I spend hours staying put for one. I'll pick some of my favorites from different genres.

Leon - the Professional
Shawshank Redemption
Little Miss Sunshine - very funny yet very moving
Brokeback Mountain - Best romantic film I've seen, I don't usually watch though
Big Hero 6 - my favorite animated film
The Bourne series (only the first 3)
Inception
Never Let Me Go - favourite adaptation from a book. Almost as good as the book.

stupid me can't bold the words. Brokeback Mountain is the best romantic film for me too. Before that Gone with the wind was my no.1.

For me stories involving gay relationships are by default more romantic, due to the hardships they have to face.
yeah, especially in the 60's when they were deeply discriminated by most people, people tend to accept the lesbians more. I especially like the subtlety of their love: never spoken but hidden deep in the heart.

Stanley Kubrick fan detected? Same here. ?
Have you seen „Dr. Strangelove”? That’s probably my favourite Kubrick’s picture but I love them all.
