Just curious as I was thinking the other day that Nadal's next Slam outside of RG Will have some significance attached to it regardless of where it is. So what do you guys think? What will add to his legacy the most?

Australian Open - Obviously the only slam he hasn’t won at least twice. A win here would mean he’s the first person in the open era to hold at least 2 slams on each surface.

Wimbledon - Let’s face it, even I have to admit that this is the slam players want to win most. While I stand by a slam is a slam. I guess there’s something nice about winning in the birthplace of tennis. There’s also something nice about things in 3’s a win here would give Nadal a hat-trick at Wimbledon. Pretty good for a “clay court specialist”.

US Open - Amazingly a win here would see Nadal tie for most US Open’s and even maybe give him a chance to own the outright record if he could snag 6. Would be pretty funny/amazing for the “clay courter” to have the most titles at 2 of the 4 slams while Djokovic and Federer would only have one.

Any of them really.

Another AO and he has 2 of each, something only Laver and Emerson can say

Another USO and he ties Sampras and Federer in USO titles. Yes you read that right. Clay GOAT is also USO GOAT

Another Wimbledon and he has 3 on each surface, something no one else in history EVER can say

In order I'd say.

1. AO - Would become the only player in the open era to achieve the double career slam.

2. Wimbkedon - Would become the only player in the open era to win at least 3 slams on 3 different surfaces and would cement his place as a grass court great.

3. USO - Would cement his position as one of the all time greats on HC and one of the most successful players at that tournament.

Completely Glossed over over the whole 3 on every surface thing for Wimbledon that would be something!

I’d like another AO the most but imo it’s actually the USO. I think becoming the (equal) record holder at a Slam outside Paris would put an end to any argument about his resume being skewed.

Another Wimbledon would be all sorts of amazing at this age but it’s highly unrealistic and doesn’t really do much for his legacy. The fact that he made 5 straight finals in his prime is good enough.

Easy, none. His Iegacy wiII b etched in CIay & to a Iesser degree courts that have been deceIerated & bounce made higher to promote baseIine raIIying as in USO/BIue CIay. Fed's Iegacy of course is Grass & Novak wiII uItimateIy end w/ most HC majors where his Iegacy wiII b cemented.

Him winning AO or Wimbledon would help him the most but the good news is that he ain’t got no chance of winning either of those so no worries there. Even so, he still got no WTF titles.
