they usually show all slam except the FO, some of the TMS events and masters cup, also some smaller events like legg mason, LA, san jose, etc.

but i believe ESPN and Star have joined together so in effect, any coverage on tennis is done by both networks...
They show every minute of the American TMS's even though it late @ night w/ the time difference and all.

something like ten hours of coverage i get everyday from 11 pm to 9 am with extended coverage if necc
All the TMS events are covered by Star Sports. I agree that its TMS coverage is commendable. But its coverage of the Slams leave much to be desired. They show a lot of matches involving Asian players, sometimes even the doubles matches, even when there are great matches on the show courts. I can still remember Vijay Amritraj and his commentator partner drooling over Sania Mirza at Wimbledon this year. Sure, national and regional pride is good, but this is just too much.

Is this channel covering the US Open this year? I haven't seen any commercials yet.

this is so true! i was so pissed off when they were showing Mirza on TV when federer was playing in centre court at the same time!

Vijay may be showing some patriotism to televise Mirza, but cripes, show the good matches that people want to see!
Not just Mirza. They also cover Srichaphan matches regularly (although he finds a way to play badly in 99% of them), as well as any doubles matches that feature Mahesh Bhupathi or Leander Paes. And they always introduce their coverage by saying that "this is the match the whole Asia wants to see!"...yeah right.
Guys dont whine. pdorn and mirza dont stay long enough in the tournament anyway!

American coverage is the most horrible! I live in Singapore but go to school during the academic year in the states. ESPN sucks!

They wouldn't even show the federer-safin semi match live!!!. How horrible is that? They show tape most of the matches involving non-americans. They focus too much on womens tennis also because of Maria and the sisters.

I get the live feed of the AO and the FO through a channel called Supersports. That is truly excellent. Wimby and USO coverage is alright. Vijay is much better than PMAC and Drysdale. They are horrible!
Do you know which channel is going to cover the US Open?

I wish ESPN-Star would cover some of the women's tournament

Also, I am also wondering why they haven't shown commercials for the USO. Usually the advertisements coincide with the TMS

If you have supersports in your cable, then you'll gonna see US open because they're covering it.
