Hong Kong is finished, sorry to say but you need to deal with it, and it'll become worse and worse with time. So it's either get the hell out or assume life in a totalitarian regime. Sadly, no third choice.
I know it’s utopian, but maybe the good winning just for variation’s sake as third option?

A very esteemed law professor, born and raised in Hong Kong who is very passionate about pushing for local democracy. Sadly he is disappointed by his own city and this place is getting more and more unrecognisable as time passes by. It has turned into a police state governed by CCP style lies and propaganda, disrespectful of rule of law, void of justice, highly intolerant of the smallest criticism and even lacking compassion for its people.
I see. Please keep fighting, dear, you young HKers give hope to the rest of the world.

Two days after the US announced sanctions against Hong Kong's government officials for undermining the city's autonomy. This morning the local media tycoon, founder of the pro-democracy newspaper "Apple Daily" Jimmy Lai, was arrested under the national security law for alledgedly colluding with foreign forces. He is the most high-profile public figure having been arrested under this law since its introduction. His sons and several senior executives of his publishing group were also arrested. Over 200 policemen raided the headquarters and reporters of several pro-democracy news outlet were denied entry into the media centre. Police also searched a restaurant owned by one of his sons.
