Machi can be top 100 if he wins this event. Hopefully he does and if not, Ruben wins here. Both have good draws and should do damage.

Re: Week 47: Guayaquil-2 (Entry List)

The height of Quito may help players with a good serve like Ciric or other ones that are used to it like Decoud (is married with a Colombian girl and has been living in Bogota the past years). Quite difficult to predict results here.

Re: Week 47: Guayaquil-2 (Entry List)

Final Qualifying round.
L.Tavares bt G.Andreozzi(1) 3-6/6-3/6-4
P.Souza (3) bt R.Recarte 7-5/6-1
G.Pella (8) bt J.Gomez 6-3/4-6/7-6
G.Duran (2) bt I.Endara (7) 6-4, 6-4

Just a shame. Now Andreozzi needs of someone of the main draw to withdraw in order to reach the tournament as a lucky looser.

Viola def. Elias 6/1 6/2 ! What's wrong with Elias, injured again ? Or overrated ?
Naso def. Brzezicki 6/3 6/4
Tired. Just that. He eas out for so many time this season, then he strart to play again. He wasn't used to so many straight matches and tournaments, so he was getting tired in the end. He will do a perfect start next season, believe me. Top 100 is waiting for him next season, and top 50 in 2 years time.

And I want to mention a great victory for Pedro Sousa over João Souza. I hope next year will be the breakthrough year for him, cause the talent is clearly there. The big problem is his head.

Sousa wins Galdon 0-6, 7-5, 7-6. What a fun match to watch! Incredibles winners(and unforced errors) from Sousa, whose game seems like a rollercoaster! Lot´s of talent, with a nonchalant style. Needs to control his emotions a lot better to be a contender for top100. My favorite portuguese player since Nuno Marques...

Must win tournament now for Ruben. If Ruben wins the title here, he gives himself a great shot to return to the top 100 in early 2012.

Yes, Like I told already in this thread, and so many times. Talent is there, but his head is like a rollercoaster. He's unbeliveble more talented than Gil (for example). But tennis is not about talent, is about consistency and winning matches. And doesn't got that. More than anything else, he needs a mental coach. The game and talent is obviously there. He's not that young anymore (23), so he needs to get results very quickly. I still have a (small) faith that he can get into top 100, and (who knows?) even better, but still his mental problem. Each time he misses a ball it's like the end of the world. And the DF's are a huge problem as well.
