Last year Clezar had even worse year that this one (negative W/L score on Challenger level) and he got WC. Surprised everyone with his wins over Rola, Estrella and Souza. Had some luck, but played good tennis. But ofc, 3rd season in a row a WC for him.. Too much.
Cecchinato can't come here in Sao Paulo without a match in over a month and a half, play against Clezar who's been preparing in Sao Paulo last couple of days and playing for months in South America on clay and expect a win. For me no surprise there tbh.
Pella also after a slow start played great against Albot. First two matches I could not watch

Cervantes sealed himself first place finish in the group, will play on Saturday against 2nd-place finisher from group B (Albot/Clezar).
Lorenzi and Munoz de la Nava will play on Friday for a second place and for the last 4.
