Yeah, Poprad (city where tournament is held) is like 15 km from High Tatras, most visited place in Slovakia - Strbske Pleso. There is a mountain railway from there to Poprad-Tatry and I fully recommend it, magnificient view and breathtaking sceneries :p

I have an apartment where I go 3-4 times in a year in Tatras (normally I live in Bratislava), and by car it's 15 minutes from the city. Perfect place to relax and now with a challenger tournaments as well, perfect ! :)

Don't know about the players yet, but seems like Gombos will be biggest name out there.

I wanted to visit too, but it would be more expensive to go to Poprad then to Kosice :(

I also owe some reports to Nathi, as I didn´t go to Kosice challenger as many days as I promised that year

Oh, and I hope RRH will be there.

Didn't understand your sentence. I've concluded from
http://tenista.sk/poprad-tatry-challenger-tour-2015/
that Poprad replaces Kosice on the Challenger Tour, at least this year

It's basically same tournament with same organizers, but held in different palce, more attractive place I would say.

Lucky :p You can go to Poprad and then you have one of the best Challengers of the season in Bratislava (I was there one year; great venue).

I am not a fan of the Vienna tournament to be honest. Court 1 is too far from centre court

I haven't been to Trnava

Long live the Slovakian nice cities promotion :)
Besides visiting Kosice (second largest city in Slovakia) a few times, I once spent very good summer week in Zilina and still remember surrounding mountains, national park Mala Fatra and surprised (for me) good local red wine and usual good beer ...
I would like that Zilina will organize a challenger in the nearest years :)

I´m actually from there :) Really nice city indeed, but the football is a clear priority here.

Re: Week 24: Poprad-Tatry, Slovakia [Entry List]

Really nice discussion we have here, quite rare actually ;)

I mean Slovakia has so many issues with financing such a "outside" sports like tennis, I'm glad we have at least 3 challengers and couple of futures tournaments in summer.

And an ATP 500 tournament just 60-70 km from capital city Bratislava (Vienna) is good for tennis enthusiasts :p

But main topic here should stay Poprad-Tatry challenger, and I really recommend, for those who haven't been in there. It's not Ortisei-like, which nature surrounding is more than astonishing, but it's really pleasant, to say at least. :)
