Didnt know Banes had won a challenger event, but he was the defending champion in Gwangju. Lost against Imai (lol) after being a set and a break up - surely his ranking will crash now. As it should.

He played for my local club a few years back (2016 or 2017, I think they were in the second tier in germany back then) and in every match I watched him play he looked poor. Maybe he wasnt fully motivated there but the appearence fee even in the second tier in germany isnt bad, should be on par with a few wins in a challenger.

Anyone here follow Johan Tatlot more? Whenever i watch him hes very very very poor - Ocleppo should have straight setted him and it was tragedy that it went to 3. Thankfully Ocleppo collected in the end. But he has a few wins here and there, beating players like Darcis and Bagnis for example. But whenever i watch him, he looks like your average #700 player. What does he do well?
