Re: Week 16: Rome-1 (Entry List)

I'm very pleased to see Gulbis enter for this. It indicates he has accepted the need to step down a level to regain some form and confidence.

Re: Week 16: Rome-1 (Entry List)

Agree on Gulbis and the same can be said of Stebe, and Garcia-Lopez.

On paper, the list is good, but most of these players are in bad form, so it will be interesting to see who can take the title.

No Bolelli?

Hopefully Gulbis or Stebe takes some form out of this.

Re: Week 16: Rome-1 (Entry List)

Simone lives in Monte Carlo and is playing MC qualifying.

As long as the final is some combination of Serra/Hajek/Schoorel, I will be happy.

Hope Thomas defends his title. I think Bedene can continue his good form here though so it will be an interesting tournament.

would love to see marsel go deep here. hopefully andi beck can actually play this event and can do well here

if the draw allows it the ideal final for me would feature 2 of ilhan, gulbis, kuznetsov and beck

Re: Week 16: Rome-1 (Entry List)

True. Only about 5-6 more weeks of Rui in the top 100. Hopefully he loses no later than QF in every single challenger event and R1 of every ATP event until that time.

Re: Week 16: Rome-1 (Entry List)

fun match in Q against fischer and krajinovic, at one point fischer won 11 out of 12 games and still lost

great and needed win for filip :yeah: i was afraid he was going to retire with that bagel and instant break down. hopefully just a mental collapse and not physical

Completely mental. Fischer didn't help either, he's tricky player, reminded me a lot of Murray. Combination of pushing, tricks and wrong-footing opponent. Filip is much more complete tennis player, though.
Filip also easily won in final round and into main draw.
