This is one of the shortest tie-break sets in history!
63 points, 36 minutes.

Poo 24-3 on his serve until the TB, 0-4 in TB!!
Only a shrink can explain it...

Flip double fault on his first mp in 2nd set TB and wasted 4 mps altogether. I knew he'll be dome when it came to another TB.

I counted 5 MP for Poo in 2nd set TB... 2 at 6-4, then at 8-7, 10-9, 11-10.
He should go to the chokers Masters...

Re: Re: Wednesdays live scores

I suppose in a match between two players who are such incredible servers but also such poor returners (they both take big swings on the return) you might expect no breaks, but no breakpoints even, and service games won with such ease... reminds me of a quote by Ljubicic after he'd beaten Safin in the Lyon semis a couple of years ago, when he observed that every time they step on court they might as well just play the tiebreaks without bothering about the rest of the set. I wonder if there is some destiny behind Kuerten saving those matchpoints, if he goes on to sweep through his opponents here... either way, the Great Dave is a lucky beggar, Philippoussis definitely handed him the last Houston spot on a plate.

What a choke by Scud. But anyway great play and mental resilience from Guga! Congrats Guga!
