Marin was a break ahead in both sets but got broken back eventually both times. he will have to play better if he's to beat kei but at least he got the job done

Respectable result, fantastic tournament for Sascha.
Our sweet prince keeps rising.

He's still so far away from filling out his physical frame, finding consistency, developing his mentality, defining himself as a player - it's a joy just to think about what the future holds for him.

Zverev is going to be a great player. Aside from Kyrgios, he is the most talented of the young crop and seems more mentally switched on than Nick.

Admittedly Cilic was quite muggy out there, but he was given all he could handle by the youngster.

what a horrific match.

Cilic has reached level when his basic mid court groundshot is 50-50 shot. he isn't beating anyone except mugs and puberty kids. ffs on some of fastest courts there he can't hit baseline winner against kido who's voice is still mutating. tomorrow Nishikori's win is zillion dollar fix. only person with autism won't take that gift

as for Zverev.the guy has great prospect. even Coric being ranked higher, Zverev has bigger game with much better potential but only time will show will he become great match player

Very good tournament for Alex :D:clap2: Even better that he achieved the wins this week on hardcourt at an ATP World Tour level too, especially against players like Kandy and Dolgo

Tiebreak record

Cilic 2004-2014: 125-132 (48.6%)
Cilic 2015: 17-4 (80.9%)
Some stats just don't make any sense

Mb he played most TB against poor players. Berdych is also good in TB this year I think, although overall I wouldn't say he looked more clutch this year than before.

Zverev continues to get better and better. He lost this match, but showed that he can hang with guys at that level anyway. Some costly mistakes at key moments in both sets did him in, but he did well to earn a break back in either of them anyway. He's still subject to some very loose plays every now and again, but his upside is nice.

Cilic lost a bit of a power it seems, his groundstrokes aren't as powerful as last year. Zverev still lacks power as well, so this match had a fair amount of long rallies on such a fast hc on current tour, both players unable to finish the rally at the net of course. Really uncanny, Marin needs to get better to stand a chance against Kei. I was impressed by Zverev though, impressive for his age.
