I mean, Djokovic just demolishes players, winning 6 big tournaments in a row? with Rafas big Decline, clay masters became even easier than HC masters, not to speak of Federers results on clay this year..

So Novak pulled out, Rafa is bad, Roger is TRUE DECLINE.

Was this the easiest master to win this decade?

Because all masters we have had before, it was Either a HC with Novak/Fed goating.. or Clay where Rafa would GOAT, if he was bad, Djokovic could GOAT in a clay masters.. nothing of that sort for the first time only this Years Madrid.

2015dal easily tops 2010/2013, simply the field got denser and more competetive.

I think it actually became harder, without Djokovic, and with Nadal and Fed not playing well it was a fairly open tournament and not predictable at all.

I agree with you, but you lack some logic.

If its unpredicatble, dosent mean it has to be harder? right..

It´s more competitive in terms of predicting a winner, but for someone like Murray or Ferrer it would be easier then usual to win it, or anyone else for that matter.

Paris, Paris, Paris, Paris, and more Paris, particularly 2012's "tanky" edition.

Don't you remember that tournament where Djokovic lost to Querrey after bageling him?

Any player who wins the tournament without beating Djokovic has some asterisk on it.
Only if Djokovic was playing.

Are you suggesting that all tournaments he doesn't enter should be cancelled before the start? There wouldn't be much tennis to watch.

Murray won so it must have been. Probably a lucky combo of super wind, ultra hot/cold temperatures, sand storms/blizzards and exhausted opponents as well. Disgusting luck as usual for boring pusher mugray.

Also his opponents were wearing slippy shoes.

Very true. 2010 in particular was the weakest field in history, stats back that up. Even then Nadal couldn't have an all time great year :worship:

Didn't Ferrer won Bercy playing Janowicz in the final a couple years ago? Now that's a better example of an easy Masters, not a Masters with Murray facing Nadal in the finals :/

Definitely the easiest this year, so far. Nadal is having his worst season since 2004, while Djokovic skipped it. Nishikori was the only real challenge for Murray.

This was a very impressive victory for Andy, considering he dominated the entire tournament on his worst surface. Hell, the player who managed to take a set from him got a bagel in the next set for his trouble

Cincinnati 2014 was awful. No Nadal, Murray in turmoil and Djokovic papped oot early.

Miami 2014 was particularly bad due to the lack of semi-final action. Toronto post Olympics was beyond shit as was Ferrer's Paris Masters win.

Monte Carlo last month was guff also.

What a truly shit thread.

So Madrid without Djokovic is harder than MC with Djokovic, nice logic.

Cincinnati had the GOATS playing? Murray didnt even make the Semis..

You gotta admitt Madrid was one of the easiest in a long time.
