Las Vegas R 2: Benneteau df Hewitt 6-3 7-5

The defending champ is out. But Julien was ballsy tonight! :worship: He was just too good. He served for it at 5-4 but got broken and then immedietly broke back. Good match Julien. :)

Good win for Bennet' against a solid top 30.
It was one of the last chances for Hewitt to win a tournament this year. He was the title holder.

Allez Chicken Man.

Not sure how bad this makes Safin look, but Hewitt, well time to prepare for Indian Wells and Miami.

LV R2: Benneteau downs defending champ Hewitt 6-3, 7-5

WTF was that Lleyton? :banghead:

He broke in the first game but couldn't hold serve the whole match. There seemed to be a glimmer of hope after Benneteau failed to serve it out the first time but another crap game the frenchman another chance to do so.

100 vcash of my 150 down the drain.

Maybe the cold, gusty conditions were part of the reason why Hewitt's serve was off, although he according to reports he seemed to be outplayed on several fronts.

Not a good sign for Lleyton. Cooperation with Roche ain't giving any good results. This was his only chance to win a tournament this year. Staying inside Top 30 this year is questionable.

46% 1st serve percentage won't beat anyone. Lleyton seems to play one good match followed by a shocker at the moment. Rochey is one of the best coaches ever, but he's 63...I think the game has moved on too much for him to be as effective as he was ten years ago. Who knows, it just might take Hewitt six months to get used to his new game and resist falling into old habits...we'll see.
