Vancouver Challenger R2: Kokkinakis def. De Voest 6-4 6-7(3) 6-4 and ends his career

De Voest fought hard and hung on there but Kokkinakis was better in the end

This was the last match in De Voest's career but who knows... maybe he lost to one of the future prospects in the game

This was really high quality, I can't say that Kokkinakis was being schooled because he was holding serve quite easily but in rallies De Voest produced amazing tennis and was the better player, this despite Kokkinakis outpowering him from the baseline. The volleys he played approaching the net were just too good, moved very well and hit tons of BHs winners, Kokkinakis was clearly surprised and as they were approaching the 3rd set he started to say stuff like 'you've got to be kidding me' after De Voest winners. Crowd loved it. De Voest had a BP in the 7th game at 30*-40, Kokkinakis fired a couple of FH and De Voest couldn't put the last one back in play, he also had a 0*-30 in the 9th game but Kokkinakis played good to recover. Had to save a BP in his previous service game before getting broken.
Wish this had ended with a tb. Kokkinakis didn't look injuried at all, don't know what aussie users were referring to today.

Vancouver CH R2: Kokkinakis def. Rik de Voest 6-4 6-7(3) 6-4

Quite a clash between the two players, but Kokk did it. And with this match won, enters the Top 200. He is now one of the 4 teenagers in the Top 200.;)

Rik had an ok career, all the best in the future for him, wonder why he's quitting doubles too though as he's better at it. Interesting that he got an unknown doubles partner for the event, you would have thought he had some friends or people who wanted to play with him.
