Federer (2005) the last time it's been done. Federer (2004, 2006, 2007), Nadal (2010) & Djokovic (2011) also had the Australian/French respectively under their belt.

Winning the last two slams alone is a feat scarcely managed on tour. In addition to the fact Djokovic is a newlywed and expecting his first child I genuinely don't think him winning the USO is as clear cut as people seem to think. He's had a tough clay court season reaching finals in Rome and Paris and got his first Grand Slam in 18 months under his belt. Much like Murray (2013) and Nadal (2008) he may not find that extra gear for the USO.

There's also a case to be had against Nadal as well who has never defended a HC title and isn't coming in with the same kind of brimming confidence he had on this surface last year. It's a shame up till now Wawrinka and Murray have gone AWOL since their last GS wins as this USO could have been as open as the last.

Whilst Djokovic and Nadal are by a country mile the best players on tour at the moment, is there hope for the narrow outsiders like Federer/Wawrinka/Murray and even some of the form players like Dimitrov/Raonic?
