Terrible breakers from Simon: he got owned 21-8 overall. A string of ugly UE in the last one cost him the match, especially an easy FH with open court at 3-2*.

Too big from big John! Great showing from the Americans and in any slam with a 5th set tb you can never count out Isner no matter how much of a favorite Murray is. Let's hope for the all american semifinals :aparty:

Isner is anything but a zombie. i dont get that impression at all. during Rallies he is very lively. after the rallies however he does look very backbreaking

Isner was the only one playing today, despite not feeling well, and deservedly won. Unexpected outcome as I thought he would selfdestruct against the pusher.
Simon took pushing to a whole new level with this performance, his unwillingness to do anything on the court was really out of this world, even by his own standards. His stans can be proud of him.

starting to notice more and more isner doesn't like humidity and really struggles fitness-wise in the middle of matches. Big John needs to get some tests done after USO, he's been looking drained too many times.
