Just realized,
this years US Open feels like the first one in ages where almost no-one from the top guys is missing/injured?

If im not mistaken, Pablo Cuevas ranked #65 is the first in the ranking not playing at US open, then, ofc Tsonga at #70 being probably the only one of known "top guys" who is missing.

So i think we should just all be super happy, cause it seems super rare that the field is this "complete" at a slam!

And for the stats-guys: when was the last time, a slam field was nearly as / more complete?

Well, if you look the the injuries/ withdrawals it's certainly much better compared to last year.

But let's not pretend like the top favourites and seeds are at their peak.

7 Slam titlists are playing the tournament. The most in a Slam main draw since a long time I guess.

Having the entire top 64 healthy in September is indeed quite impressive and after R1 we still have 18 of the top 20 in the draw, at least we can expect it to be a competitive tournament.
