I think the draw for the first round could be worse, and second round Kiwi....possibility to take revenge.... Jule let's hope that the schedule will be that way, that the match vs Kiefer will be on a showcourt But first he has to beat Stepanek

giovanni is in the final quali-round so let´s hope the best for tonight so that we´ll see 2 ecuadorians in the us open main draw
maybe there´s a possibility of a brother-doubles, although i fear they won´t get a wildcard what they surely would need to get in. but hey, we don´t wanna be unthankful, great singles-results would be enough for us, right

you're right, Jule...Though I'm gonna sit again in front of pc and watch the sb (I already do) and pray Giovi through his match, like I did the nights before. But when my "boys" win it's all worth the work...

But I don't mind sitting in front of my computer and cheering for Nico, while looking at that scoreboard really nervous . My parents always think I'm crazy when I'm talking to my computer, but hey it's Nico, I have to watch when I can .

There will be no coverage in other German channels than Eurosport, Kezzi. But Eurosport rocks this year...coverage from around 5pm (depends on the finish of Vuelta) til the end of the night session on Armstrong stadium, yay! I won't sleep alot those two weeks, that's sure.

There's a lot on Eurosport too in Holland

we have to stay up tonight, nico plays the third match on court 18...no tv coverga there i think but let´s hope the best he´ll make it so that we´ll get another chance to see him!

i absolutely know what you mean, it´s the same overhere...i am really glad i don´t have to go to an internetcafe and watch the scores as the people would surely call the emergency to get me away

Another long night also for me...Nico is playing and also Younes has a last match, so it's gonna be a short night in bed

Not very good news before the first match: According to an Ecuadorian paper Nico has a small problem with the hip-flexion-muscle. He says himself that it disturbs a bit, but is no major problem.

I don't know, I'm not really good with time differences

It should be about 4pm NYC time (10pm here), calculating with 2 hours for the women's match and 3 hours for the men's match before Nico (because of best-of-five for men)

Extra cheering by me too

Nico lost 5-7, 6-7(5), 1-6 I came home quite at the end of the first set, so I nearly only know the score of it, but in second set he was first a break down, then broke back, and the same was then in tie-break. There he was also a mini-break down, then broke back, but got a mini-break again, that Nico lost the set....In the last set he got broken very fast too, and then at 3-1 for Stepanek had several breakchances to break back. He didn't achieve that and I think, that Nico then didn't really believe anymore in his chances to come back. But the last half sentence is my own assumption.
