where is everyone?? good luck to all the frenchies playing today especially arnaud and seb in the doubles...they've lost first round in the last 2 tournaments they've played together in so hopefully they can win 1st round :bounce:

Good luck to Seb and Arnaud in the doubles. They're playing right now. They are leading 3-2 with a break in the first set.

THEY WON THEIR FIRST ROUND MATCH!!! i'm so happy for themmm. what's the time difference between slovakia and US?? ur lucky u could follow it!! they're both playing today in singles today so yeah they better win!!!!

santoro lost! :( i'm really surprised! Escude isn't playign is he? his ranking has dropped so much

yeahhhh but the bad news is that one of them is goign to lose next round coz they're playign each other!!!!!!! :( :(
but then the bright side is that one of them is guareteed a place in the 3rd round. i don't know who to go for!!!! do you reckon they've talked to each other about their match?

No, I don't think even best friends like Costa and Corretja discuss their matches. They are very competitive after all. You can't succeed in any sport without that quality. But I'm sure they talk about other things. ;)

I have no doubts who to root for. My darling Sebastien. I really hope he goes far. I noticed his matches are like rollercoasters lately, so up and down with a crazy see-saw scoreline. :confused:

what a pity they have to play each other...and too bad also for Mathieu! :sad: i hope Seb will win,but if it will be Arnaud i'll be glad anyway! ;)

btw between Slovenia and Usa there are 6 hours,same of Italy!

Voilà une bonne chose de faite. Je me suis débarrassé hier de Marc Rosset en quatre manches, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. J’ai réalisé une très bonne entame de match. J’étais bien concentré et dans le deuxième set, à cause d’un petit moment d’inattention, je me suis fait breaker bêtement en réalisant deux doubles fautes. Face à Rosset, c’est le genre d’erreur qui ne pardonne pas. Il a un service énorme et il est très difficile de le breaker. Une fois qu’on se retrouve mener face à ce type de joueur, tout peut arriver. C’est pour ça que j’ai serré le jeu dans les deux derniers sets mais c’était quand même loin d’être évident. Marc Rosset n’a pas un jeu très régulier et pour rester dans le rythme, il faut énormément de concentration. Je suis donc content d’avoir gagné en quatre sets et de ne pas avoir laissé traîner les choses jusqu’au bout.

Maintenant, mon deuxième tour s’annonce délicat puisque je vais rencontrer mon pote Arnaud Clément. C’est toujours des matches spéciaux mais bon, il faut que je rentre sur le court sans penser que c’est Arnaud que j’ai en face de moi. C’est un match de 2e tour d’un tournoi du grand chelem et je dois passer ce cap. Je n’ai pas le choix, je dois faire avec. Ca sera donc une journée un peu spéciale demain puisque je vais jouer en double avec lui et en simple. Pour finir, il n’arrête pas de pleuvoir à Flushing. J’avais un entraînement programmé à 12h et pour le moment, je reste à l’hôtel. A bientôt, salut.

aww they're playing today--neone who is lucky enough to get a chance to see the match tell me all about it!!!! so u guys are 6 hours ahead?? i wish i could follow it but theres 14 hours difference so it's like 1am when play starts and by the time their match starts it will be like maybe 4am here :( what's un pote??? a lot of websites have been using that word to describe them lately

yes i'm very sad for Seb,specially cos i watched match on tv and i really thought he was going to win... :sad:

so only one french is still in the single draw...too bad for a glorious nation like France! :(

LINDSAY FAN- U SAW IT ON TV??? OMG UR SOOO LUCKY....what were they like at the end of the match?? did nething weird happen during the match??

i'm so happy but so sad at the same timeeee....it is sad that seb lost but hes done better than he did last year where he lost first round didn't he so yeah...i really hope arnaud can win next round! good luck to them in the doubles too btw.

nothing weird happened during the match,but i think it wasnt a great match,they both played so and so.at the end Seb was very tired,without energy,that's why he lost i guess.Arnaud didnt smile at the end,i think it was very classy from him not celebrate his victory.indeed after match he said "it's great to win a five set match but not against Seb".
good luck Arnaud in next round! :)

yeah seb said that isn't not good losing to his BEST friend..how sweeeeeet....:D how do you add photos to a post? there was a really cute picture of them and they were so contrasting coz seb was all in white and arnaud had this small cheeky smile on his face...it was sooooooo cute. it was on the http://www.fft.fr/
site if neone wants to see it.
