Don showed some great play mixed in with some adequate and not so good play, but showed numerous flashes of brilliance which highlights his talent. Looks mentally more assured out there too. Didn't meet with the toughest of opposition and is pretty fortunate to get lucky loser Lacko in the first round, but played very positively and aggressively and did his job well. Happy for the Don and especially for the US fans who are probably still hoping for big things from him. Gave him great support today.

Sidenote: There are way too many 6-4 sets today.

Not surprising, he will need to play better though if he's to have a chance against Stan. Still 45 points in the right direction.

Don can beat Stan if everything goes right. Wawrinka lost a set to Maximo Gonzalez, he is not in form

If by "futures players" you mean former top-60 players in bad form that bageled Nadal this year, then yes, "futures players"
he means from No 150 to No 650

:haha:

Who plays at futures???
