Well, not much for me to say here apart from: Congrats to all Alca fans out there! He almost did 40-15, but eventually won.

Sinner tried in this last game to inflict the same thing that Alcaraz did to him at RG by bringing fire like never in this match before. But Alcaraz was too solid mentally and so far in their careers Alacaraz has that edge.

Does not explain why Sinner's level was bad today but again, Alcaraz was pretty bad and dominated at RG and still found a way to win.

But yeah, the performance Alca had today on service reminded me of peak Fed during 2005-2007. Although, that level Fed produced back there was another world.

Sinner is basically just a better Rublev and today was not even that much better. 48% of first serves is simply not acceptable at this level and the fact that his serve top speed is 10-15km/h less than Alcaraz also doesn't help.

Congrats to Alcaraz who was not just the better player during this match but also across the entire tournament. He has reached a new level in the hardcourts, so I now believe that he can become an ATG.

So where are all the fools talking about Sinner is way superior to Carlos and would win a CYGS.

Where are all the fools claiming Carlos needed a new coach.

Where are all the fools claiming Carlos would never return to number 1.

Where are all the fools claiming Sinner would always be better because he is taller.

Are there favorite, the love to talk about the serve. Carlos looked like the best serve in the world out there. Meanwhile Sinner was out there serving like a WTA player.

You got the feeling the Sinner camp was doing way, way too much talking instead of just watching their guy play.

Sinner is obviously a great player and win more slams. But I felt like Sinner ( or at least his fans/team) needed this dose of humble pie. I think he'll become a
better player & hopefully person because of this beating.

And to be clear it was a beating, it wasn't close. Yes Carlos lost focus and lost the second set but other than that he could do nothing out there.

something definitely wrong with sinner, most likely physically.

it’s telling that his box was mostly silent, if they knew he was healthy they would have been more active trying to change the match.

but congrats to the newcomer servebot of the tour
