Well he hasn't gone full Taylor Fritz yet but getting there

Have his fun, sure, but don't take her seriously obviously

Should yes, find a cute girl, a 7.5, from a small village, maybe even a farmer's daughter, and have 7 kids

But he doesn't have to start now, can fool around a few more years
What!? You mean you can't find any love in your heart for a woman like 'Gorlock The Destroyer'..

Shame on you Groove!!!! So shallow.

Shot variety options is the only real thing I'd put Alcaraz has having a much higher ceiling in, and that's mostly for natural surfaces.
This final has proved that maybe Alcaraz has unlocked a new level, the Super Saiyan HC Hero, while Sinner has been the Ultimate HC Son Goku in the ATP 2024-35 universe, he got a fierce rival in Alca.
Shot variety means bigger application of slice and dropshots, also overall DTL shots, lobs or junkballs. Alcaraz might not have been the strongest on hardcourts till this NA HC season, but the scales have tipped into his direction...

To be a champion is though. Sometimes it takes a lot, you need a certain character ( look at Djokovic) to be able to deal with the pressure and all. But look at Carlos, the sweetest champion possible. He is so gentle, sweet and adorable. This is truly beautiful, especially after the way Djokovic showed standards that if you are a champion, you need to be the villain. It is refreshing. Not to mention that even Sinner( except the doping fiasco) is also very nice character.

Alcaraz looked one level above Sinner the entire match (and tournament). Really impressive from him, Sinner did well to even win a set.

That is the next obstacle. Alcaraz has 2x RG, Wimbledon, and USO, but ZERO AO titles

Only ever made 2 QF
Until 2008, at age 22, Nadal had never reached the SFs at the US Open... and won his 1st at 24..

And yet he ultimately won four, "king of clay" as many as the so-called " hc goat thing." 🤭

And Carlos will "still" be 22 at the next AO... in 2026.

We need to stop basing our "predictions" on what a 22-year-old player has done before saying... he's not doing anything here, he'll never do anything.

Moreover, apart from the fact that he's Spanish, vamos, and plays in sleeveless outfits, I don't see any comparison between Nadal's GS record and Carlos's...
and it's also true in game and personality

Nadal's six wins were four RG (05-06-07-08),
one Wimbledon (08)
one AO (09)

Chuck never got past AO QF so AO remains tough quest for him.
Eye test, AO conditions is very unfavorable with his game. Surface speed and bounce level there made his groundstrokes less comfortable than USO. But conditions can change with year or/and Chuck may be able to adapt so we will see.
I wouldn't say that.

He'll still be... 22 years old at the next AO in 2026, we can't know.

At 22, Carlos has 2 RGs, 2 Wimbledons, and 2 US Opens.
"If" he wins the AO, he wouldn't have an impressive gap with the other 3 Slams.

However, Carlos isn't Nadal at RGs, nor Fed at Wimbledon... and when Fed won his 2nd US Open, he was 24...

Nadal seemed comfortable at the AO, starting in 2008 with the SF, and a title in 2009 at 22.
And even more so at Wimbledon... with 2 finals and 1 title at 22.

It seemed more complicated at the US Open, where he had "to wait" 24 yo for his first title... and in the end, he won four.

So, Carlos probably won't win 10 AOs, nor 14 RGs, but he can win a few; there are a lot of variables.

What's certain is that there's no insurmountable barrier in the 4 GSs, and that's true for Sinner as well, by the way.

As I said, I don't know if either of them will reach or approach 24 slams... but it's surely more attainable by winning 6 times all-4 than 14 in one and 10 in another. :dunno:

At least Alcaraz dropped a set during this run. It would've been a nightmare for hard court tennis had he won without losing a set. He's not that good on hard courts, even when playing his best.
I thought Djokovic worshippers did not care about this particular stat, citing it as meaningless? :oh:
Nadal's six wins were four RG (05-06-07-08),
one Wimbledon (08)
one AO (09)
Djokovic's first six were 4x AO, 1x Wim, 1x USO
Federer's first six were 3x Wim, 2x USO, 1x AO

So on the surface Carlos has the most rounded resumé of the four - all three surfaces covered and equal distribution between them

No DC for Carlitos this week.

6 Slams at 22. Back at #1. I am so so so happy and proud. And what an amazing and lovely young man he is.

Congrats to Alca on 6th slam and #1, he was clearly the best player this tournament and looked extremely determined to win his first hard court slam for a long time. Deserved win.

As for Jannik, he was far from his best, imo he wasn't prepared to this tournament as he wanted due to that Cincy illness and it showed in that match. Especially serve was very subpar, which was the key why this match was quite one-sided. Hopefully serve will come back during Euroasian autumn swing. Onwards.

Alcaraz did play better leading up to the final, and was clearly better in the final as well. With Alcarac seemingly stabilizing on a very high level, Sinner will need to step up from what was seen in USO. While his matches against Bublik and Musetti were good, overall, he was not close to the Alcaraz level.

Hey Sinneboltards, at 5:40, reference made to your Robot needing 'Reprogramming' :p

Even Sports reporters insinuating that your Robot needs more special 'lubricating creams' :p

So how does it feel to be Creamed by your opponent? :p

Meanwhile, whats up w/ under 6'0 Karl serving like prime Ivo/Isner while running faster than even compatriot Claydal?
