What's so endearing about him is that, although this is his 6th major, he still acts like a surprised little kid after he wins.

May he never lose that childlike humility and gratitude!

Excellent ambassador for this great sport!

And Jannik was as gracious and generous with his praise as ever.. a true gent and a true friend to Carlitos, much like Roger and Rafa in their day. I truly believe this.

Congrats to Alcaraz as he clearly was the best player over the last 2 weeks. Since IW of last year 2024 he has now beaten Sinner 6 of the last 7 times they have played. Very impressive and is definitely the #1 player in the world now.
Indeed! This was also his most dominant performance at a major, dropping only one set on his way to the Champion's trophy. Now he needs to conquer his AO hurdle to complete the Career Slam. 🙏

You know....I hate to agree with this but you do make a good point about the overrated matches. It seems a lot of the older generation of pundits are paid to promote the "evolution of the game" theory which I personally subscribe to but I don't want to get into that. But in terms of the matches, the only real epic was RG25 but ultimately that should have been a straight-forward win by Sinner in 3-4 sets if he learned how to manage those situations better than Alcaraz and had a serve befitting his height (then it would be game over for Baldcaraz).
Baldcaraz? How quaint! Yet you folks are the ones quick to demand respectful behavior from Carlitos's fans whenever Jannik loses to him..:facepalm:

Perhaps you ought to try practicing what you preach..

The different tennis channels did their best to avoid giving the orange convicted criminal any screen time, for a good reason. Neither Sinner nor Alcaraz addressed him in the trophy ceremony.

But what should I say, it's a free forum. If you think it's worth posting, be my guest.
Navratilova's comments:

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova reacted critically to his actions, believing that he was jealous.

"Never saw Trump clap. Not once. He is so jealous!!! And when the whole place erupted clapping for Bruce Springsteen while playing Born in the USA it was magical!!!," Navratilova posted.

I am not a fan of Martina's views on Trans athletes, but I believe she nailed the big orange baby's thin skin here as he cannot stand anyone else getting more attention than him.

I demanded the behaviour long before I started the nicknames, and I'm done being naïve enough to expect arrogant tards to be respectful so I'll just carry on using nicknames for the sake of banter.
So the 'arrogant tards' brought you down to their level is what you're saying? Umm ok.. So what are you gonna call Carlitos once his hair grows back? Just curious.

Now we can get a Sincaraz final 2026 AO for Carlos to beat him again and complete the set.
From your lips to God's ears. That would certainly be a crowning achievement for Carlitos if it does come to pass and an outcome reminiscent of the '09 Final, meaning a likely 5-set marathon as Jannik will be out for blood as he attempts to threepeat and correct the growing h2h deficit he has vs Carlitos.

These guys continue pushing and inspiring each other beyond the limits of what would seem to be humanly possible.

They are really very close in number of slams at the same age now, even if the composition varies.

Nadal 5th : 2008 Roland Garros 22y 0m 5d

Carlos 5th: 2025 Roland Garros 22y 1m 3d

Carlos 6th: 2025 US Open 22y 3m 30d

Nadal 6th: 2009 Australian 22y 7m 29d

next Nadal is 7th in RG 2010: 24y 0m 3d
Indeed very close. What sets Carlitos apart at this stage is the degree to which he's already been able to master the different slam surfaces with a much more comprehensive record across clay, grass and hc, winning majors on each of those surfaces at least twice. By comparison, Rafa, while still the young prodigy of his generation, was still primarily a clay phenom who was just starting to spread his wings across the other slam surfaces by that time.

What's curious is that, for Rafa, the biggest initial slam hurdle was the USO, while for Carlitos, it's the AO.

Next AO will determine whether Carlitos wins his 7th major before the age of 23, something Rafa could not do.

As far as slam finals and semi-finals before the age of 23, Rafa leads Carlitos 8:7 and 10:9, respectively, so again, Carlitos could tie Rafa's slam final/semi-final tally before the age of 23 at the AO next year.
