He'll be tough to beat here, playing in front of his friends and family. It's funny when you think how much weight he added to his shots in just 5,6 months, and yet there are still some who believe he peaked at 18.

Coric played better than i thought he would. still Granollers losing to everybody at the late so this match isn't telling much

Granollers is so average and untalented, can't believe he's a former top 30 player.

Just returned from the match. You are right, his forehand really improved. Marcel had some hard time fighting against it. ;)

And it was nice to see how he REALLY enjoyed the home ground. :)

Coric is definitely underrated here. A great all court talent, who is called weaponless pusher by a lot of people.

Umag'06 F Wawrinka(69) def. Djokovic(28) 6:6 ret.

Djokovic was 19 y 2 m, so half a year older than Coric now, and just entered top 30 that week.

Gruntollers is the kind of mug Coric needs to be squishing if he wants a smooth path to the top. Nice to see that he did just that.

Great result, Coric did exactly what he was supposed to, which is to wash away these random mugs with a routine win. Losing to Granollers would've been disastrous for someone touted as a future #1.

People here generally have no clue about this sport.
