Re: U.S. Open Entry List (updated July 19, 2017)

How come Haas could no longer use his PR for RG this year, yet Tursunov can apparently still use his PR here?

Haas' last event before the PR injury was RG 2014, for Tursunov it was USO 2014, so it should be exactly the same situation.

RG 2014: start 25 May, 21st calendar week
RG 2017: start 28 May, 21st calendar week

USO 2014: start 25 August, 35th calendar week
USO 2017: start 28 August, 35th calendar week

I must be missing something.

Are they just going to keep putting Dan Evans in the entry lists? Gulbis should already be in, and glad to see that its extremely likely Laaksonen will get a direct MD spot like Wimbledon

Evans, Djokovic, Nishioka out likely. ? Mark on Almagro wrether he will recover in time. The rest seem to have played tournaments relatively recently.

Oh yea, Coric pulled out from a couple tournaments but hopefully it's not a long term injury.

Re: U.S. Open Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated August 8, 2017)

Almagro has been training in Spain this week and is supposed to play the challenger tournament in Santo Domingo next week. For Tursunov this will be his last PR after 3 years. Btw, is there a place to lookup who is entitled for a PR ?

Tomic has just pulled out of Winston-Salem, meaning he's pulled out of the entire North American hard court swing. Odds he still comes to New York to grab the $50,000?

Almagro played and won his 1st match in Santo Domingo yesterday, so he is fine

i predict he'll start in the open but quit before his first match is over. the first rd money is too good to pass up

he won't be the only one

Tursunov is in the Winston-Salem draw with his last PR, I think. So, either he indeed can't use the PR for the US Open, or he will make up an injury and get first round prize money for Winston-Salem while keeping his PR or he just doesn't care about the US Open.

Yes, a bid odd but I imagine he got the memo that he can't play US Open and uses his final PR in Winston-Salem. Expected to be out from this list soonish, otherwise it makes no sense.

We wish Milos Raonic a quick recovery as a left wrist injury has forced him to withdraw from the 2017 #USOpen

On Monday, the first day of play does the MD start with the top or the bottom of the draw?
