The time has come for the players to voice their ideas for the next TT season. What new things would you like to see introduced? What rules should be changed? If anything comes to mind, let us know.

The board members will start to discuss the changes after the Masters Cup. Then we'll start some polls if necessary and come up with a proposal for the set of rules to be used in 2008.

Let's make this game even better!

I'd like to bring up the "Protected Ranking"-issue....I have to do military service next year, so I'd miss quite a lot of tourneys and would fall in the rankings (after finally having climbed up ).
So that you just can play some tourneys with your PR, like it is in ATP....I don't know how it works there exactly, for how long you have to be out to use a PR (6 monts I think :scratch:, maybe we could use a little less here....:shrug, but I think this would be an issue that needs discussion.

not all matches that ended with a retirement should be counted

maybe a change in SR system...

Good idea

Can be something like this:
3 months out = 3 PR
4 months out = 4 PR
5 months out = 5 PR
6 months out = 6 PR
7 months out = 7 PR
8 or more months out = 8 PR

WC, I think no, as everyone gives a WC to his best friends.
SE, can be, but it makes it difficult for the managers.

I think SEs would really be great. They help good newbies to gain some points and that's exactly what TT needs.

(Ah, and save CB! It's much better than PTS...)

CB first is better than ranking.

So every new TT says he's American. And then in end 2008 90 % of the players are Americans. :lol:

Firstly i thought the WC idea was good, but, honestly, it isn't.

Think in the following situation:

Brasil Open 2008, qualifying list:
-Tytta (BRA)
-JeffCandoi (BRA)
-RRenno (BRA)
-lillyke (BRA)
-cacau00 (BRA)
-Nando_L (BRA)
-Uraitan (BRA)
-VaiBrasil (BRA)

keqtqiadv is the manager... who would he give the WC for? Probably Tytta, because he talks more to her than the others... that's the bad situation that should be created

CB much better than PTS
i remember a felipe idea, i dont know if i am right, but in case of tie.. wins who have more "SR matches" corrects and not only SR1 or 2

Usa players have a huge advantage, but there are not many playing TT.
I think that 2 spots should be reserved to WC.
a new player (NR) can ask for a WC in an special thread, and then avoid to play qualies.
or make a poll to vote who will receive the WC.
the players who received the WC, cant receive it again..

IMO the local players deserve WC too , Singapore players can receive WC at Asia tournaments :shrug: there are not many chinese, japanase or Thais playing TT ..

just some ideas

Something else: I still don't understand why late entries get priority to players without ranking who commit in time.
