Not hard to realise especially since everyone on tv keeps hammering about how his backhand is Safin like.

Nope. Been noticed before (at least by me) during the Nadal match. Especially noticeable for those who remember the Safin of 2000, and the flashes of said fellow that occasionally come through at Paris Bercy and Aussie Open.

yeah...it's been "noticed" for months already.

He reminds me in some way of Marat too. Not only his backhand is similar but he volleys well also (something which Marat did a long,long time ago :rolleyes: ). I guess he doesn't have Marat's charisma but he's a really nice guy and it's easy to like him. :)
Hope he'll have a better career.
