Tsonga is officially out of the Australian Open

A usually reliable French media source says Tsonga will shortly announce that he's withdrawing from the Australian Open. It says he still has the tendinitis problem in his right forearm.

This news is unconfirmed at this point. Very bad news if it's true. :sad:

It sucks, but at least Klizan is now closer to that AO seeding. Tsonga was fun to watch at IPTL.. oh wait..

Can't expect any sympathy if you play IPTL even though you are injured. Same goes for Cilic.

Monfils, Tsonga, Kyrgios and Cilic all injured after playing the IPTL. Murray with a niggle at Mubadala, Djokovic pulling out with illness. What a great event.

Hoping this is not true, if it is, I will be gutted....No luck with injuries, as per usual. I really do question why he played the IPL, apart from money what was the incentive to play with an injury?

Why should that be a reason to be against IPTL. Players make their choices - nobody's holding a gun to their heads to make them play anything

Because we want to see our favorite players play in the real events, which doesn't happen when they prioritize money over their health. Of course it's their own choice, but I couldn't care less how much money they make, that's not my concern.
